Sambíó Cinema at Kringlan

Kringlan is proud to be the home of one of Iceland’s finest state-of-the-art cinemas. The cinema has proved to be a long-standing favourite with Kringlan guests. There’s nothing more enjoyable than ending your successful shopping trip with a meal at one of our restaurants followed by a good film!

The cinema

Built in 1996, Sambíó Cinema at Kringlan was Iceland’s first cinema complex to be located within a shopping centre, following similar innovations in Britain and the USA. The complex houses three state-of-the art screens.

Sambíó Cinema at Kringlan was the first cinema in Iceland offering not only THX surround sound system in all its screens but also DIGITAL technology.

Access and facilities

The cinema can be accessed from inside the shopping centre. There is ample parking at Kringlan - and you’ll never get cold queueing for a ticket!
